Great work, thank you. I install this on all my computers.

You know, ‘accidentally’ losing the left sidebar was kinda great. Could you add such an option to OptimizeGoogle?

There is a problem with “Links to other search engines”. Is this option enabled and you open the next page of the search results the link list is shown two or more times (one time more with every new search result page you open). When you reload the page there is only one linklist left.
And I have another problem with optimizegoogle and the new wonderweel in google. If I click some topic on the wonderweel the page reloads and the last shown topics disappear. Is optimizegoogle disabled and you click on a wonderweel topic a new line with the new results appear and the old topics are allready there (no page reload). So you easy can go back on the wonderweel with disabled optimizegoogle. With enabled addon this is not possible.
I use version 0.78.1 german language (excuse me for the bad english).

I have one question concerning this add-on: is it in any way violating the Google terms of service? IOW, is it illegal?

Not that I am aware of.

There’s no way to turn suggestions off. Even if I turn it off in preference, suggestions are still shown

Preferred language and site stopped working overnight. Now when I type anything into the address bar, a site called http://search.conduit.com gives me query results, instead of google.com
Your program has always worked fine, so what’s going on?

Hi,

On my back to google, I saw a link at the bottom of google search page;
it says “Switch to basic version”,

the link is;

“http://www.google.ca/images?q=Ocie+Sackett&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&sout=1&biw=985&bih=621″

So I switch it and OG works fine (for now)

Peace
Ghis

Seems rewriting the links to directly link to a searched image with google image search doesn’t work ATM. Using german google (the new style already release in the US isn’t here yet) :p

Would be nice, if you make https possible at the search-site… (it is possible, but then the extension doesn’t work correctly anymore…)

“Google suggest apparently does not work anymore ?”

Just unclick Google Suggest in option and it will work again. Backwards solution but works.

Google Images has tons of problems. Redirect removal does not work. It also diasable all “Old Google Images” scripts.

I really appreciate this addon! The only thing I miss: Could you intercept (i.e. “deactivate/disable”) *all* calls to google analytics (including those via SSL), and not just when browsing on Google sites? I found no way to do so, and still see communication running that way (I’m sitting behind a strange firewall which has some problems with SSL – so if a site is using GA, I get a hell of popups for failed accesses. Unfortunaltey, those are “system modal” – so it’s always a game of being able to close the tab faster than the browser pops up the next note).
